WHY ARE YOU AFRAID? DON’T YOU KNOW THAT I AM WITH YOU?
“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage, be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:9).
Sometimes I call him Grandpa. Other times I call him Dad. Usually though, I call him Bob. Bob married my mom 6½ years after my dad passed away. Bob has been a huge asset and a tremendous blessing to our family ever since. The grandkids love Grandpa Bob. That’s why I sometimes call him Grandpa.
Bob is a farmer and owns a deer habitat. Lance has counted over 200 deer at one time on this piece of land. Bob has been a hard worker all of his life. He is a very practical “farmer type of guy,” who had a miraculous experience of God’s protection while working on his farm.
After listening to his story, I thought, “Wow! This sounds like being “translated” – as in Acts 8:39 where “the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip” after he baptized the Ethiopian eunuch. I have read how John G. Lake described his personal experiences of being in one place and being miraculously translated to another place where God needed him to be.
